Circle of Elements

The Circle of Elements harnesses the powers of the primordial elements: Air, Fire, Water, and Earth. These Druids have delved deep into the mysteries of nature's fundamental forces, forging a profound connection with the elements themselves. Through their attunement to these primal energies, they gain unique abilities and spells that allow them to command and manipulate the elements with finesse and power.

Primordial Affinity

2nd level Circle of Elements feature

You learn to speak, read, and write Primordial or one other language of your choice.

You always have the Absorb Elements spell prepared, and the bonus damage of the triggering type applies on any attack you make on your following turn.

Elemental Form

2nd level Circle of Elements feature

As a bonus action, you can expend a use of your Wild Shape feature to take on an elemental form, rather than transforming into a beast.

While in your elemental form, you retain your game statistics, but your body shifts and morphs with primordial power. The form lasts for 10 minutes or until you dismiss it (no action required), are incapacitated, die, or use this feature again.

Whenever you assume your elemental form, choose which of the following elements you exhibit; your choice gives you certain benefits while in the form:

Earth. You become a bulwark of earth, you gain a burrow speed equal to your walking speed and add your Wisdom Modifier to your Armour Class.

Water. You become like water, you gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed and can enter the space of allied creatures at no extra moment. Creatures you pass through can regain hit points equal to 1d8 + your Wisdom modifier, once per round.

Air. You become like the wind, you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed and each time you affect a creature with a spell you can move them 10ft in a straight line away from you.

Fire. You burn with fire, each time you would damage an enemy with a spell you deal extra fire damage equal to your Wisdom Modifier.

Fundamental Destruction

While in an elemental form, you always have the corresponding spell prepared and can cast it once without expending a spell slot.

Earth. Erupting Earth.

Water. Tidal Wave.

Air. Lightning Bolt.

Fire. Fireball.

Harness Chaos

10th level Circle of Elements feature

You have learnt to harness the chaos of primordial power, when you cast Absorb Elements while in an elemental form, you gain immunity to the elemental damage type of your choice instead and gain a number of temporary hit points equal to your Druid Level when you use it.

Unleash Elements

14th level Circle of Elements feature

Your attunement to the primordial elements has become second nature to you, granting you an action for you to perform on your turn while in the corresponding form once per long rest.

Fissure. You send forth a strong tremor into the earth that causes it to fissure in a direction of your choice, the fissure is 15 ft wide, 90 ft long and 30 ft deep. A creature standing on a spot where a fissure opens must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw or fall in.

Flood. You cause a 10 ft sphere of water to appear around a creature of your choice within 90 ft of you for 1 hour or until you dismiss it as an action. The currents of the bubble of water make it impossible to escape without teleporting. Creatures unable to breathe underwater drown after a number of minutes equal to their constitution modifier and are unable to perform verbal components for any spells.

Airburst. A 20 ft sphere centred on a point you can see experiences a sudden change in pressure, damaging and disorienting creatures caught in its area. Creatures must succeed a Constitution saving throw or suffer 5d10 Thunder damage and be deafened until the end of their next turn.

Blaze. Any creatures who have taken fire damage in the last round are ignited and lit aflame, causing them to take 2d10 fire damage on their subsequent turns until they submerge themselves in water.
